Mid-level AI Engineer supporting a DoD customer to design and deliver full-stack, AI-enabled mission applications. This role combines agentic AI development with modern cloud-native engineering to solve complex intelligence community problems.
What you'll do
- Ideate, prototype, and deliver AI-enabled solutions aligned with stakeholder needs and existing application environments
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Next.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch
- Build and maintain Docker images and deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications in OpenShift
- Investigate and resolve production issues across UI, backend services, database, and application deployment layers
- Work with customers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and estimate implementation effort
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, write automated tests, and maintain technical documentation
Mission
The role supports an Intelligence Community (IC) customer working on mission-driven applications. The program leverages generative AI and agentic systems to enhance operational capabilities within the Department of Defense environment.
