Data center field service engineer providing hands-on hardware repair, maintenance, and operational support in a fast-paced colocation environment. Ideal for experienced technicians comfortable troubleshooting server systems and coordinating with vendor support teams.
What you'll do
- Provide daily data center operational support including proactive server monitoring, issue detection, and customer notification
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, component replacement, and break/fix activities; coordinate with Dell support for escalation
- Execute OS installations, GPU/firmware configurations, and system testing to ensure operational readiness
- Manage ticket lifecycle, parts inventory (shipping/receiving), and maintain environment documentation (serials, runbooks, elevations)
- Escort and coordinate with field engineers; handle parts replacement and hardware deployment
- Support customer-directed system updates, firmware upgrades, and conduct log collection/vendor-recommended resolutions
- Serve as escalation point for urgent/random issues while maintaining flexibility for weekend and holiday support when required
Mission
