Provide system administrator support for C2 server infrastructure at Shaw AFB, managing installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of core and functional systems in a DoD environment.
What you'll do
- Configure, maintain, and manage software and affiliated server systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application software issues
- Maintain Windows Server and UNIX/Linux operating systems within virtualized environments
- Create and manage user directories and perform workstation/server configuration management
- Document system administration procedures, changes, upgrades, and security updates
- Analyze server logs for errors and failures; perform root cause analysis and optimization
- Provide technical assistance on assigned projects and deliver independent troubleshooting support
Mission
This role supports the CAOC (Combined Air Operations Center) Shaw Support Contract, a critical Air Force command and control mission. The position maintains vital C2 systems that enable Air Force operational capabilities at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
