This role sits at the core of SoloPulse Corp's dual-use radar development program in Atlanta, GA, where the engineer designs, builds, and refines advanced signal processing algorithms that power radar sensing systems for both commercial and defense applications. Day to day, that means translating raw radar returns into actionable detections — developing and validating algorithms for waveform design, clutter suppression, target detection, and tracking across civilian autonomy and military sensing platforms. Success in this position requires deep fluency in radar signal processing theory, hands-on experience implementing DSP pipelines in MATLAB, Python, or C/C++, and familiarity with phased-array or FMCW radar architectures. The engineer will collaborate closely with hardware and systems teams to move algorithms from simulation into real-time embedded or FPGA-based implementations. Because SoloPulse supports critical defense programs, candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance; an active clearance is a plus. What you'll do
- Develop and optimize radar signal processing algorithms including range-Doppler processing, CFAR detection, and clutter mitigation for dual-use platforms
- Implement and validate DSP algorithms in MATLAB and Python, transitioning mature designs toward real-time embedded or FPGA execution
- Analyze radar system performance using measured and simulated data, identifying degradation sources and driving iterative improvements
- Collaborate with RF hardware engineers to co-design signal chains that meet detection, resolution, and dynamic-range requirements
- Support integration and testing of signal processing pipelines on prototype radar hardware in lab and field environments
- Contribute to technical documentation, algorithm trade studies, and proposals supporting both commercial autonomy and defense program pursuits
