Hardware Design Engineer Austin, TX 127 – 219K • Candidates will have great impact and help drive our client's success by leading the design and development of cutting-edge new network visibility platforms - platforms combining high-speed networking with compute and FPGA resources • Great opportunity to become a member of a well-respected and dynamic team and help lead the product direction for future product generations • Lead all phases of hardware development from architecture through to production release • Lead a diverse team of HW, mechanical, and ECAD resources • Participate in a cross-functional team environment including PM, RTL, Software, compliance, and manufacturing • Assist in the management and development of OEM relationships • Support sustaining efforts and implement changes to improve yields • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years relevant experience • Strong skills and experience in people-management and development • Experience with the design, development, and productization of computer networking equipment • Knowledge of high-speed signal integrity concepts and practices • Experience with EMC design techniques and solving EMC non-compliance issues • Experience with high performance processors and embedded platforms • Knowledge of PCB Stackups and understanding of materials • Strong analytical problem solving skills • Ability to excel in a fast paced dynamic environment • Excellent verbal and written English skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

What you'll do

- Lead end-to-end hardware development lifecycle from architecture definition through production release for network visibility platforms

- Manage and mentor a cross-disciplinary team of hardware, mechanical, and ECAD engineers

- Drive high-speed PCB design decisions including signal integrity analysis, stackup selection, and EMC compliance

- Collaborate cross-functionally with PM, RTL, software, compliance, and manufacturing teams to align hardware deliverables

- Manage OEM vendor relationships and support component/subsystem selection and qualification

- Support sustaining engineering efforts including yield improvement initiatives and ECO implementation

- Contribute to product roadmap and architecture decisions for next-generation platform generations
