Build mission-critical analytics applications and data pipelines on the Palantir stack for Joint Staff J7 operational workflows. This role blends platform engineering with data science to empower warfighters with self-service analytics and real-time insights.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain operator-facing dashboards, applications, and decision surfaces aligned to J7 mission workflows
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ontology, and access controls on MSS and the underlying Palantir stack
- Integrate external data sources into a well-modeled data foundation and ensure AI/AIP outputs are operationally actionable
- Create data visualizations and interactive tools that enable operators to explore data independently and drill into scenarios
- Implement caching, aggregation, and query optimization strategies to ensure scalable, high-performance reporting
- Contribute reusable platform content (ontology patterns, templates, integration recipes) and document data sources and analytical methodologies
- Provide day-to-day operator support and escalate complex platform issues to senior engineers
Mission
This position supports the Department of Defense Joint Staff (J7) Mission Support Stack (MSS) modernization effort at Fort Meade. The role directly enables Combatant Command and Service component decision-makers through adaptive analytics infrastructure, with potential to extend FDE&T models across additional DoD commands.
