Senior Network Engineer/Admin to manage and secure critical Army network infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, requiring deep expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto technologies with DoD STIG compliance and automation capabilities.
What you'll do
- Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and enforce robust security policies and threat prevention
- Manage and troubleshoot complex Cisco campus networks (Catalyst 9300/9400 series) and large-scale wireless infrastructure using Cisco 9800 Controllers
- Implement and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control (NAC) with 802.1x authentication
- Ensure compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) through regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible to streamline network administration and compliance checks
- Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents in coordination with security operations
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide senior-level technical mentorship to junior team members
