In this role, you will sit at the core of SoloPulse Corp's radar engineering effort, designing and implementing advanced signal processing algorithms that power both commercial and defense radar systems out of the company's Atlanta, GA office. Day to day, you will translate complex sensing requirements into working DSP solutions — developing detection, tracking, and waveform-processing pipelines, validating algorithm performance against real radar data, and iterating quickly in a startup environment where your contributions directly shape fielded products. You will work across dual-use programs spanning civilian autonomy applications and military sensing platforms, requiring a strong grasp of radar fundamentals including pulse compression, Doppler processing, CFAR detection, and beamforming. Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, or C/C++ for algorithm development and simulation is essential, along with hands-on experience with radar hardware integration and signal chain analysis. A U.S. government security clearance is required or must be obtainable, given the defense-sensitive nature of the work. What you'll do

- Design and implement radar signal processing algorithms including range-Doppler processing, CFAR detection, beamforming, and clutter mitigation for dual-use sensing platforms

- Develop and validate algorithm performance through simulation, modeling, and analysis of live radar data collected from hardware prototypes

- Collaborate with RF hardware and systems engineers to translate algorithmic requirements into implementable signal chain architectures

- Optimize and port signal processing algorithms from high-level prototypes in MATLAB or Python to production-grade C++ or FPGA implementations

- Support system-level trade studies and performance analysis to define processing requirements for new radar product development

- Contribute to proposal efforts and technical documentation for both commercial and defense customer programs

- Investigate and integrate state-of-the-art techniques in radar sensing, including AI/ML-based detection and classification, to advance SoloPulse's competitive technology roadmap
