What you'll do
- Design, implement, deploy, test, and certify highly available enterprise storage infrastructure including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and tape systems with emphasis on interoperability, performance, and security.
- Serve as storage subject matter expert evaluating and maintaining security posture, backup strategies, redundancy, failover replication, and multi-factor authentication integration across all storage systems.
- Perform file-based data migrations using Robocopy and Rsync while adhering to rigorous change management processes to minimize risk and downtime.
- Configure and maintain storage for both bare-metal and virtual environments including vSphere, implementing RAID, tiering, caching, compression, deduplication, and multipathing technologies.
- Monitor systems for hardware failures, performance bottlenecks, and capacity issues; configure proactive alerts and automated recovery processes.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts for automated provisioning, Infrastructure as Code workflows, and operational efficiency improvements.
