Junior/Mid-level Server Administrator supporting DoD IT infrastructure with focus on DISA STIG compliance, security hardening, and Windows/Linux server administration for PAE FIRES data center operations.
What you'll do
- Implement, assess, and remediate DISA STIGs on Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems using compliance validation tools
- Administer and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and Active Directory services on Windows infrastructure
- Perform Linux command-line administration, server patching, security hardening, and configuration management
- Support VMware ESXi, Omnissa Horizon VDI, and Dell thin client environments
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of system configurations, STIG findings, remediation procedures, and infrastructure changes
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to resolve technical issues and validate compliance with DoD and NIST standards
Mission
This role supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at PAE FIRES, a Continental U.S. Army-approved data center providing IT hosting and lifecycle management to multiple organizations across the U.S. Army Acquisition community. The position ensures compliance with Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements and NIST standards for mission-critical infrastructure.
