Lead systems engineering efforts using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to design, develop, and verify complex defense systems and system-of-systems solutions. This role is for experienced systems engineers who can drive mission-critical architecture and requirements management in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
What you'll do
- Apply MBSE tools (Cameo) and mathematical modeling to develop system definitions, perform trade studies, and optimize total system architecture for complex mission planning problems
- Define, coordinate, and track high-level functional and performance requirements through decomposition, allocation to architectural elements, and verification across design and integration phases
- Conduct engineering analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, cybersecurity, survivability, and regulatory compliance to ensure mission assurance
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for program compliance with system requirements and customer capabilities
- Develop and document software system requirements, verification/validation methods, and test procedures; translate requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications
- Collaborate across functional teams to resolve cross-functional technical challenges and optimize system performance across technical and program interfaces
